Albert Allan Larson was born August 18, 1940 near Omaha, Nebraska to George and Opal Irene (Taylor) Larson. Albert grew up on several farms near Omaha but at the age of ten he moved with his family to a farm east of Springview. He attended country school and graduated from Springview High School in 1959. Following graduation, Albert worked at grocery stores in Brewster and Ainsworth.
On August 28, 1960, he married Carol Graver in Ainsworth. They celebrated 58 years of marriage last year. To this union one daughter Karan Marie was born.
After they married, Albert worked for several years at the Ainsworth Star Journal. In 1965, he rented a place and moved his family south of Wood Lake where he began ranching. A couple of years later they moved to the family ranch south of Ainsworth. In the late 1980's they moved to 40 acres of land just south of Ainsworth that he purchased. Here he had a small herd of cattle and worked at the Shaneyfelt Lumber Yard in Long Pine until he retired.
Albert enjoyed collecting scale models of cars and tractors. He tried to get the tractors that he had driven during his lifetime. This turned into collecting real tractors. He especially enjoyed a gray Ferguson TO-20 that was his last acquisition. He was also proud his small clock collection, especially the grandfather clock.
Albert is survived by his wife, Carol of Ainsworth, daughter Karan (Dave) Clay of Long Pine; granddaughters, Saresse and Katrina Clay of Bassett; five brothers, and two sisters.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, George W. and Darold L.
