A Funeral Mass for Alexis Laible, age 12, of Emmet, NE will be 10:30 am Friday, July 21, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Atkinson, NE with Rev. Bernard Starman officiating. Burial will follow in O'Neill Cemetery. Lunch will be served in O'Neill following the burial. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill, NE. The family requests casual attire be worn at the visitation and the funeral. Alexis passed away as the result of an ATV accident on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 near her home in Emmet, NE. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary of O'Neill.

Alexis Rose Laible was born on September 9, 2010 in Sioux City, IA to Dustin and Lori (Nordby) Laible. She attended O'Neill Public Schools, where she enjoyed socializing with her friends and cheering on her siblings.

Alexis liked to talk – non-stop it seemed. She enjoyed singing Karaoke, movie night with her family and she loved a good dance party. Alexis appreciated every minute of being in nature - enjoying camping, riding her bike, and swimming in the pool.

Spending time with family was important to Alexis. She was the life of the party of the cousin crew. Alexis could oftentimes be found playing for hours with any and all animals she could get her hands on.

Alexis is survived by her parents, Dustin and Lori Laible; siblings, Kiley, Gus, and Reid Laible, all of Emmet, NE; grandparents, Steve (Marti) Nordby of Coleridge, NE, Tom (Bonnie) Steinhauser of Creighton, NE, and Ron (Joyce) Laible of Shelby, NE; great grandmother, Punk Steinhauser of Stuart, NE; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
