Memorial Services for Bart Alfred Miles, age 62, of Grand Island, NE formerly of Chambers, NE will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Biglin's Mortuary O'Neill, NE. Inurnment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Thedford, NE.  Bart passed away Friday August 24, 2018, at Great Plains Health Hospital in North Platte, NE. Memorials may be given to the family for future designation. Biglin's Mortuary of O'Neill is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are his niece and nephews; Donya Mikkelsen, Arwin Mikkelsen, Burton Mikkelsen, Justin Rowse, Aaron Rowse, Vincent Flukey, Eric Flukey, Cecil Kissell, Byron Grenier, Robert Grenier, and Joseph Grenier.

Honorary Pallbearers are special friends; Tommy and Paulette Stein, Kayleen and Don Riley, Dean and Dee Crabtree, Kent Larson and his neighbors, Darrell and Randy.

Bart Alfred Miles and his twin Bernard were born to Lester and Rose (Florea) Miles on February 12, 1956, in Burwell, NE.  Bart grew up on a ranch south of Chambers, NE.

Bart went to a one room country school house, District 6, for grades kindergarten to 6 ^th grade.  His Junior High and freshman years were in Chambers Public High School.  He finished his High School years at Nebraska Christian High School in Central City.

Bart attended Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE where he spent a year studying to be a Diesel Mechanic. He and Bernard left college to come home and help their father on the ranch. Throughout his life, Bart was a very proficient Diesel and Auto Mechanic. Bart and Bernard had a love for cars and enjoyed going to drag car races, car shows and other car events. He and his brother shared many dreams and loved to dream of racing their cars.

Bart and his twin brother Bernard teamed up as truck drivers.  Bart's travels while driving his truck took him to many places and allowed him to develop many lasting friendships with his fellow truck drivers.

Bart had no children but he had a great love for all his Nieces and Nephews. His family grew in numbers with Great Nieces and Great Nephews.

Bart was a true believer of Christ, and was ready to be with God.  On August 24, 2018 he walked to be with the Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his mother, Rose Miles of O'Neill, NE;  4 sisters, Alberta Mikkelsen of Chambers, NE, Sammie Rowse and husband Ricky of Amelia, NE, Cindy Flukey and husband Calvin of Plainview, NE, Sue Grenier Kissell and husband Greg of Sargent, NE, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Lester Miles; twin brother, Bernard Miles; brother-in-law Eddie Grenier, and nephew Austin Grenier.
