Funeral Services for Beverly Galloway, age 70, of Lynch, Nebraska will be 10:30 am Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill, Nebraska.  Burial will be a 3:00 pm Mountain Time at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Cody, NE.  Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Friday, August 9, 2019 at Biglin's Mortuary.  Beverly passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at CHI Immanual Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Memorials can be made to the family for future designation.  Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of arrangements.

Beverly Sue (Witherwax) Galloway was born October 24, 1948 at the Sandhills General Hospital in Valentine, NE to Leonard C. and Myrtle Emma (Weihe) Witherwax.  She grew up on the family ranch north and west of Cody, NE.  Bev attended Cody Public Grade School and graduated from Cody High School in 1967 as Valedictorian of her class.  She enjoyed school and learning.  She loved life growing up on the ranch in the Sandhills of Cherry County.

On August 25, 1967, she married Neal Galloway at Bridal Cave in Camdenton, MO.  Neal and Bev were blessed with four children; Morgan, Melissa, Neah, and Emma'lee.  They began their married life in Chadron, NE, then moved to Columbia, MO, and back to Lincoln, NE pursuing Neal's college education.  They moved to North Platte in 1971 and lived at the University of Nebraska West Central Research Station.  In 1973, they moved to Ulysses, KS.  Bev pursued her love of homemaking, cooking, gardening, growing flowers and was an art instructor during their years at Master Land Co, Ulysses, KS.

In 1975, Bev heard the Gospel and yielded her heart to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Her faith and family were the most important things in her life.

Neal and Bev moved their family to Lakin, KS in 1982 where Neal operated a tire shop with their dear friends, Olan and Sarah Harlan.  In October of 1984, they moved to Red Bird, Nebraska, to the homeplace of the Witherwax family.  In 1986, the family moved to Norfolk, NE when Neal began his career with FSA.  They were able to move back to the homeplace at Red Bird when Neal took a position with FSA in O'Neill.

Bev worked at her part of remodeling the old original farm house at Red Bird.  She home educated her two youngest daughters through the 8 ^th Grade.  She continued to garden and expand her interest in it by receiving a Certified Master Gardener Award.  She was the care-giver for her mother, until her death in 2004.

In 2017, Neal and Bev celebrated their 50 ^th Wedding Anniversary with an open house with family and friends. Bev enjoyed travel and history, so was pleased to enjoy a trip to the British Isles with their dear friends, Fred and Joan Sipe.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 51 years, Neal Galloway of Lynch, NE; four children, Morgan Galloway and wife Martha of Thermopolis, WY, Melissa Sipe and husband Dustin of Kaycee, WY, Neah Galloway of San Antonio, TX, Emma'lee Frank and husband Justin of Laurel, MT; 5 grandchildren, Mataya Sipe, Xavier Butts, Aletheia Butts, Killian Frank, Evangeline Frank; one brother Delbert Witherwax and wife Judy of Council Bluffs; one sister, Vivian Whirlwind of Virginia; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Myrtle Witherwax; sister, Vera Shook, and brother, Gary Witherwax.
