Funeral Services for Charlotte Sanders, age 83, of O'Neill, will be at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, November 17, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church in O'Neill.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in the O'Neill Cemetery. Pastor Gary Merritt will officiate.  Arrangements are under the direction of Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.  Charlotte passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill, NE.

Charlotte was born on May 10, 1933, in Chambers, NE, to Sid and Florence (Bond) Farewell.  When Charlotte was just 10 years old, her mom passed away.  She attended school in Chambers through the 8 ^th grade.  After she got out of school, she helped raise her brother and her sister.

Charlotte met Duane Sanders while she and a friend were shopping in O'Neill.  They were walking down the street and Duane happened to drive by.  Later on, her car broke down and he drove her home.   They were married on November 9, 1953 in O'Neill, NE.  To this union, 2 children were born:  Dale and Linda.  Once the children were in school, Charlotte worked at the Townhouse Motel in O'Neill, until it closed in the early 1990's.  She then helped do laundry for Mr. Webster.

Charlotte loved crafts, crocheting and putting together puzzles. She enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee, and she was very competitive in the card games and did not like to lose!  She was also good at taking care of her beautiful flowers.  Charlotte collected swan figurines and small dolls.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband Duane, of 63 years, of O'Neill, 2 children:  Dale Sanders and wife Donna of Grand Prairie, TX, Linda Dusatko and husband Leonard of Merrill, OR, 4 grandchildren: Kellie Brigham and husband Ramone, Lorinda Dusatko, Loretta Havel and husband Shawn and Lucas Dusatko, Sister-in-Law Francis Farewell of Beemer, NE, and several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Darrell Farewell, and one sister, Helen Cutler and husband Eldon.
