Funeral Services for Charol Jean Tibbetts, age 87, of O'Neill will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in O'Neill, NE. Rev. Brian Loy will officiate. Burial will be in the O'Neill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of the service at the church. Charol passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at the O'Neill Care and Rehabilitation Center in O'Neill. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.  Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of arrangements.

Charol Jean Watson was born on the family ranch west of Amelia, NE to Asa and Bonnie (Sammons) Watson on March 1, 1931. She was the oldest of six daughters. Her grandparents on both sides were early settlers of Holt County. She attended district #222 school near Amelia before graduating from Atkinson High School in Atkinson, NE in 1948.

After graduation Charol taught school for one year before marrying Arthur "Bub" Tibbetts on July 30, 1950 at the Amelia Methodist Church in Amelia, Nebraska. To this union six children were born; Debra, Diana, Charol Ann, Chuck, Doreen and Mary.

She belonged to several clubs and organizations that included the Kitchen Band, VFW, Ladies Auxiliary, Atkinson Antique Club, Eagles Club, American Legion, Bible Study, and multiple card clubs.  She took pride in the many activities and organizations she was a part of.

Charol had a very deep love for her family.  She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was very proud of her children and grandchildren.

Charol is survived by her children and spouses; Debra James and husband Dale of Lesterville, SD, Diana Burival and husband Larry of O'Neill, NE, Charol Ann Zakrzewski and husband Don of Genoa, NE, Chuck Tibbetts of Las Vegas, NV, Doreen Kay Tibbetts of O'Neill, NE and Mary Liska of Norfolk, NE., 16 grandchildren; Dennis James, Micah James, Josh James, Joseph James, Sheena Hughes, Koda Massey, Eddie Burival, Rob Burival, Tony Burival, Jennifer Jakubowski, Jayme Puntney, Lisa Dougherty, Stephanie Behrens, Sam Tibbetts, Chelsea Liska and Megan Marks, 41 great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandson; 3 sisters; Nancy Everett and husband Rol of Atkinson, NE, Beth Cihal of Omaha, NE and Joyce Easton of Atkinson,NE.

She was preceded by: parents, Asa and Bonnie (Sammons) Watson; husband, Arthur "Bub" Tibbetts; grandson, Justin Zakrzewski; 2 sisters, Phyllis Blackmore and Sharon Dexter.
