Private family memorial services for Christopher Boyer, age 47, of Atkinson, NE will be held at a later date.
Christopher passed away on October 5, 2018 at the Avera St. Anthony's Hospital.

Memorials can be made to the family for future designation.  Biglin's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Christopher John Boyer was born December 17, 1970 to Jack and Carolyn Boyer in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  He attended high school at TK Gorman High School in Tyler, Texas where he played baseball, soccer and basketball.  He graduated form High School in 1989 and went on to attend Lee College for some time and then took a job as a CNA.

He moved to Des Moines in early 2007. It was there that he met his girlfriend, Denise Rupert.   They moved to Florida in 2013 to be closer to his parents since his father's health was failing. Christopher worked as a CNA until 2014 when he lost his eyesight.  He returned to Nebraska in 2016.

Much of Christopher's time was spent with his dogs.  Christopher's love for dogs led him to rescue and rehomed 25 dogs over 10 years.  He enjoyed playing video games and being a fan to his favorite teams, the Michigan Wolverines and the Red Wings.

Christopher is survived by his mother; Carolyn Boyer of Florida; girlfriend; Denise Rupert of Atkinson, NE; son, Chris Boyer Jr. of Atkinson; daughter, Mary Conlon of New Hampshire; one grandchild, Jaiden Boyer; sister, Karyn Redman and husband, Chris, of Des Moines, IA; and two nieces.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack in 2015, and his brother, Tim Boyer, in 2016.
