Connie Cleon White was born on September 22, 1945 to Clayton and Ann (Thomas) White in North Platte, Nebraska. Her family lived in several towns before settling in Commerce City, Colorado. She graduated from Adams City High School in 1963.
Connie met Ron Tieck on a blind date at a drive-in restaurant where she car-hopped. The couple married on January 20, 1967, in Commerce City. Joining their family was his son, Daniel Paul and they then adopted a daughter, Kathryn Rose Marie in 1970. They lived in Colorado and spent time as a family camping, boating, and attending many of Kathryn's horse shows and gymkhanas. In 1991, Ron suffered from a debilitating stroke and Connie became his caregiver. In 1997, the family moved to Nebraska, where they purchased her grandparent's home in Farwell, and moved it to Ravenna. Connie had the farmhouse remodeled and lived there until 2014. She then moved to O'Neill, to be closer to her daughter. Connie moved into the Good Samaritan Society in Atkinson due to health problems in 2021.
Connie enjoyed spending a lot of her time with her two granddaughters. She was a collector of antiques, dolls, toys, and anything else she found at estate auctions. She was a junk jaunt pro and also enjoyed sewing.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Kathryn (Hugh) Benson of O'Neill; two grandchildren, Staci (Steve Alber) Kiger of Iowa and Hunter (Matthew) Marcellus of Atkinson; four great-grandchildren; Logan Kiger, Caleb Breiner, Zander Kiger, and Lake Marcellus, two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Karen (Carl) DeSantis of Aurora, CO; brothers, Kenneth (Jetty) White of Fort Lupton, CO, Randy Thomas of Aurora, CO; many nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ron Tieck; son, Daniel Tieck; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon (Charlie) Hofferber.
