Funeral Services for Delbert "Del" Rouse, age 92, of Lincoln, Nebraska formerly of O'Neill will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Assembly of God Church in O'Neill.  Rev. Mike Durre and Rev. Lee Warriner will officiate.  Private Family Burial.  Visitation will be from 5-7pm Monday, September 8, 2025 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a 7:00 pm Prayer Service.  Delbert passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at his home in Lincoln.  Memorials may be directed to his family for future designation.  Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.

Delbert Ray Rouse was born February 11, 1933 in O'Neill, Nebraska to Howard and Addie (Hubby) Rouse.  He grew up on the family farm north of O'Neill.  The farm was homesteaded in 1879 by his grandfather.  A family member has been living there ever since.

Del enlisted into the United States Air Force in March of 1953.  After basic training in San Antonio and then more training in Amarillo, he was transferred to Columbus, Ohio.  Del was a jet mechanic on B 47's.  He was Honorably Discharged in March of 1957 after being promoted to Staff Sgt.  Returning to the ranch he began helping his brother and dad in the farming and ranching business.  Del also had a tractor salvage business for over 50 years.

Del met Lois Perry while stationed in Ohio.  They were married on December 1, 1956.  To this union three children were born: Ronald, Darryl, and Ralene.

Del was elected on the school board, church board, cemetery board, and township board.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 68 years Lois Rouse; children, Ronald (Jennifer) Rouse, Darryl (Tracey) Rouse, Ralene (James) Klostermeyer; eight grandchildren, Leslie (Jared) Evert, Aaron Rouse, Nicholas (Stephanie) Rouse, Nathaniel (Bethany) Rouse, Jackson (Kara) Rouse, Amber (Zach) Jensen all of Lincoln, NE, Thomas (Brittni) Klostermeyer of Gretna, NE, Sarah (Scott) Olson of Omaha, NE; nine great grandchildren, Addison Evert, Landon Evert, Colin Rouse, Parker Rouse, Everett Rouse, Ada Rouse, Della Jensen all of Lincoln, NE, Emma Klostermeyer, James Klostermeyer both of Gretna, NE; sister-in-law, Joan Perry of Fairfax, VA.

Del is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Addie Rouse; parents in law, Bert and Delia Perry; brothers, Lawrence and wife Celia Rouse, Lloyd Rouse; brother-in-law, Joe Perry; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Yvonne Chelette.
