Funeral Services for DeWayne Kopejtka, age 70, of O'Neill will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, June 30, at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with burial in the O'Neill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2017, from 6-8 P.M. at Biglin's Mortuary.  Rev. DeWayne Henry Kopejtka was born on July 10, 1946, in O'Neill, NE, to Frank and Agnes (Butterfield) Kopejtka.  He attended county school and then went to Page High School through the 10 ^th grade. DeWayne married Patty Banks on June 3, 1968 in O'Neill; to this union, 2 children were born:  DeWayne Jr and Frank.

DeWayne worked in agriculture most of his life.  He loved to fish and hunt.  He was also an excellent meat smoker, and made his own bacon, jerky, and salami.

DeWayne is survived by his wife Patty, of O'Neill, 3 children:  DeWayne Kopejtka Jr, of O'Neill, NE, Frank Kopejtka and wife Christina of Clearwater, NE, Franklin Collins and wife Penny of Long Pine, NE, 1 grandchild, 6 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 5 siblings:  Larry Kopejtka of Page, NE, LaVonne Timm of O'Neill, NE, Lois Henderson of Stuart, NE, Sharon Brinda and husband Rod of Lander, WY, Nancy Fernau and husband Ken of Atkinson, NE, and one sister-in-law, Thelma Kopejtka of Verdigre, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law Stacey Kopejtka, 3 brothers:  Jerry, Terry and Dennis Kopejtka, and 2 sisters; Norma Johnson and Donna Jirsa.
