Memorial Services for Dorothy Connot, age 97, of Lincoln, and formerly of Spencer, will be at 10:30 am on Friday, August 14, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spencer with Father Bernard Starman officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Spencer.  A Memorial Visitation with family present will be from 5:30-7pm on August 9, 2026 at Butherus Maser & Love Funeral Home in Lincoln with a Rosary at 7:00pm.  Dorothy passed away on July 31, 2026.  Dorothy requested memorials in lieu of flowers to: St. Mary's Catholic Church Altar Society Spencer, NE, Catholic Social Services, or the charity of your choice.  Local arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary in Spencer.

Dorothy Ann Soukup was born November 21, 1928 in Spencer, NE to E.F. and Mary Soukup. Dorothy attended rural schools and graduated from Spencer High School in 1946. After graduation she taught in rural schools. Dorothy married Toney Connot in November of 1951. Together they raised their four children: Joann, Randy, Jerry and Joyce.

They farmed for many years and upon retirement lived in O'Neill, NE. After Toney's death, she moved to Lincoln to be near her beloved family.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Randy & Nancy Connot, Jerry & Lori Connot, Joyce & Russ Virus, and Steve Erickson all of Lincoln. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Dorothy in death are her husband Toney and daughter Joann, parents and parents-in-law, two sisters, one brother, Toney's siblings and spouses, and other family members.
