Elma Dummer, age 100, of O'Neill passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Arbor Care Center in O'Neill.  Per her request there will be a Private Gathering and Inurnment at the Rosebud Cemetery in Bonesteel, SD.

Elma was born December 27, 1918 in Wagner, SD to Richard Marion Beem and Almeda (Shove) Beem.  She had six sisters and three brothers.

Elma was raised around Colome, Fairfax, and Bonesteel, SD. She married Freddie Charles Dummer on October 14, 1936 at Burke, SD.  To this union seven children were born.  They lived on the ranch north of Bonesteel from 1945-1967.  Elma moved into Bonesteel after Fred passed away.

Elma was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ and became a member of the First Baptist Church in Bonesteel, SD in August of 1962.

In 1973, Elma moved to O'Neill, NE.

She is survived by her children; Leona Noel of O'Neill, NE, Elda (Bill) Schmitz of Bonesteel, SD, Beatrice (Ken) Floyd of Rapid City, SD, Iris (Jerome) Blum of Naper, NE, Roland (Deb) Dummer of Bonesteel, SD, Rex (Sharon) Dummer of Sioux Falls, SD; one sister, Martha Reiser of Norfolk, NE; 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Elma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Freddie; one son, Gerald; 1 infant granddaughter, 2 grandsons, three brothers, and five sisters.
