O'Neill
A Celebration of Life Service for Heather Nicole Ollendick, age 42, of O'Neill will be 3-5 pm Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a Prayer Service at 5:00 pm. Rev. Mike Durre will officiate. Heather passed away at her home in O'Neill on Friday, April 24, 2026. Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.
Heather Nicole Ollendick was born April 6th, 1984, to Robert and Mardy Ollendick in Atkinson, NE. After a short period of living in Chambers, the three moved to Heather's childhood home on the family farm just North of O'Neill.
Heather spent her childhood enjoying the outdoors with her younger siblings, Marcus and Miranda. As the oldest, she was often the one to come up with most of many adventures had. She never hesitated to keep her grandparents, Dude and Patty Burival on their toes by tagging along for farm chores or trips to town. She also took every opportunity she could to visit her Grandma Bev's farm in Chambers. Time spent there included many memories made with her cousins Jackie, Elizabeth, and Brittany.
Heather attended country school and a year at St. Mary's before going to and graduating from O'Neill Public Schools in 2003.
In 2005, Heather gave birth to a baby girl. Hailey was her proudest accomplishment. If you saw Heather's white ranger you could guarantee it was the inseparable two riding side by side.
Heather had various jobs working in the community. Through them she was able to meet a lot of new faces, many of which never forgot her smiling face and uplifting personality.
After meeting Daniel in 2021, she spent a couple of years traveling the country. The couple spent time in different states including Florida and Wyoming. Heather was so excited to get out and see new places. She was always up for an adventure, where the adventure would take her didn't matter. It was the people, experiences, and the memories that meant the most. Eventually she settled back in O'Neill.
Heather's love for her family and friends was something to envy. She loved fiercely and would go above and beyond for those she cared for. Heather was always thinking of other people.
You could often find Heather sitting outside by her fireplace or enjoying a sunny summer day. She loved fishing and being by any body of water to pass the time and soak up the sun.
Heather also had a passion for poems and music. She was a very creative person with tons of joy and experiences. Writing and listening to music gave her a way to share and embrace life to the fullest. She was loved by many and will be remembered for her outgoing personality and welcoming soul.
Heather is survived by her daughter, Hailey Turpin of York, NE; her parents, Robert and Mardy Ollendick of O'Neill, NE; brother, Marcus (Kacey) Ollendick of O'Neill, NE; sister, Miranda (Jeff) Vogel of Atkinson, NE and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Patricia Burival, Bruce and Bev Grimes; uncle, Larry Ollendick; aunt, Julie Bauers.
