Funeral Services for Irene Beed, age 82, of Chambers, NE will be 7:00 pm Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Biglin's Mortuary of O'Neill. Mike Loy will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 pm until the time of the service. Graveside Services will be 10:00 am Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Chambers Cemetery with Pastor Mike Durre officiating. Irene passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at her home near Chambers, NE. Memorials may be directed to the Chambers Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary of O'Neill.

Irene Faye Kopejtka was born in Inman, NE on August 9, 1939 to Albert and Genevieve (Butterfield) Kopejtka. She attended Inman Public Schools and grew up in the Inman area. On November 15, 1957, Irene married Howard (Bud) Beed in Winner, SD. To this union, brought 6 children: Elizabeth, Cheryl, Natalie, Steve, Doug, and Susan. The couple moved a few times before making their home Northwest of Chambers.

Irene cooked for the cattle and hay crews and was a collector of salt & pepper shakers and anything rooster. She enjoyed word search puzzles, and doing embroidery until her eyesight began to fail. Above all, she cherished timespent withherfamily, especiallyher grandchildrenand greatgrandchildren.

Irene is survived by her children, Beth (Robert) Grubb of Chambers, NE, Cheryl (Bob) Taylor of Burwell, NE, Natalie (Tim) VanderPol of Lansing, KS, Steve Beed of Chambers, NE, Doug (Jody) Beed of Chambers, NE, and Susan (Ted) Martin of Chambers, NE; grandchildren, Cammy, Brooke, Samantha, Nicole, Sydney, Hannah, Josh, Kayleb, Pepper, Cayenne, Mace, Trent, and Kelsey; 5 great grandchildren, Chase, Truitt, Irelyn, Odin, and Paitin; siblings, Gary (Diane) Kopejtka of Lincoln, NE, Dee Miller of Inman, NE, and Carolyn Sass of Huron, SD; faithful companion, Bobo; and many other relatives and friends.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud; and siblings, Sonny, Babe, and Shirley.
