Memorial Services for John Binkerd, age 58, of Hastings, formerly of O'Neill, will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.

Memorial Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Biglin's.

John passed away September 28, 2016, in Broken Bow, NE.

John was born on December 17, 1957 in O'Neill, NE, to John and Rose (Beasley) Binkerd. Because his family moved around quite a bit when he was young, he graduated High School in Valentine, NE. After graduation, John moved back to O'Neill and got married. He had 2 daughters from this union, Jessica and Jamie.

When John was younger, he enjoyed ranching. In the late 1980's, he worked at Binkerd Construction. His work took him all over the Midwest, and he worked most of his life, creating and building things. John loved to tinker, hunt, fish, and be outdoors. He was proud of his daughters and their families, and took his grandchildren everywhere with him. He was always willing to help others. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his 2 daughters; Jessica Kerr and husband Geramiah of Hastings, NE, and Jamie Lobato and wife Abby, of Council Bluffs, IA, 3 grandchildren: Amiaha, Ainslee and Atley Kerr, 2 sisters; Kim, of Chicago, IL, Debra Drumheller and husband Tim of Leigh, NE, and 1 brother Thomas Binkerd and wife Melody of Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
