A Funeral Service for Kenneth R. "Bobcat" Martin, age 68 of O'Neill, NE will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Biglins Mortuary in O'Neill. Rev. James Loutzenhiser will officiate.  Burial will follow in the O'Neill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of the Service on Saturday.  Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.  Kenneth passed away on January 1, 2019 at his home in O'Neill.

Kenneth Martin was born on August 12, 1950 in Gregory, SD to Henry, Sr., and Reba (Goodman) Martin.  He grew up near Naper, NE and went to school in Naper.

Bobcat worked in the hay field and at the Livestock Market in O'Neill where he enjoyed the livestock sales and the food they served.  He spent the majority of his time in the great outdoors, trapping and fishing and working with iron.  Bobcat was awarded his nickname due his great technique at trapping many bobcats.

He is survived by his brothers; Henry Martin, Jr. and wife Julia of Tipton, IA, James Martin and Larry Martin, both of Inman, NE; sisters, Marcine Osborn of Alameda, CA, Betty Jo Martin of O'Neill, NE and Lois Kay Martin of Atkinson, NE, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Reba Martin, Sr.; sisters, Anita Waterman and Linda Drobny; nephew, R.J. Martin; niece, Jackie Jo Martin and grandparents, William and Dotie Goodman.
