A Memorial Service for Leila H. Grainger, age 95, of Butte, Nebraska will be 10:00 am Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the Community Bible Church in Butte, Ne. Inurnment will follow in the Butte Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour before the service.  Leila passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Arbor Care Center in O'Neill.  Biglin's Mortuary in Spencer is in charge of arrangements.

Leila Helen Grainger was born in Gregory County, So. Dakota.  At the age of 4, Leila, her parents and their daughters moved to Butte, NE where she lived her entire life.  Leila received an education and graduated from Butte High School in 1947.  That same year, she was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Grainger in the Methodist Parsonage at Spencer, NE.  To this union a son was born, Wayne.

Leila worked alongside her husband in their cafe, known as Bob's Cafe in Butte, which they owned and operated for 21 years.  Leila was then employed at the Butte Healthcare Center as a care staff member.  Later earning her Certification Medication Aide and working from Sept 1966 - Sept 2016.  She was a faithful and dependable employee.  She enjoyed needlework and spending many hours at her sewing machine.  Leila was thankful for the blessings in her life and trusted in God's plan for her time on earth knowing eternal life with her Savior would follow.

Survivors include her son Wayne (Cindy); four grandsons; four great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, sister's Betty, Delores, and Mavis.
