Private Services for Lila Stewart, age 66, of Inman will be at a later date.  Lila passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Accura Care Center in O'Neill.  Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.

Lila Marlane Smith was born on October 15, 1959 to Leonard and Beverly (Provenzo) Smith in Jamestown, New York.  Lila and her family moved all over due to her dad being a truck driver.  She attended Fairbury High School in Fairbury, Nebraska.

Lila met Bill Stewart at his sister's house in Beatrice, Nebraska and they later married in 1991 in Stockton, New York.  Lila and Bill lived in Beatrice and Fairbury for short times before moving to Stockon where she took care of her father.  They later moved to Warren, PA before moving to Aurora, MO and then moving back to Fairbury.  Lila and Bill then moved to Inman, Nebraska three years ago.

She enjoyed puzzles, arts and crafts, fishing, and the Dallas Cowboys.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Lila is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bill Stewart of Inman; six children, Greg (Andrea) Dayhuff of Lyman, Nebraska, Jason (Mindy) Dayhuff of York, Nebraska, Casey Dayhuff of Fairbury, Nebraska, Toby Stewart of Aurora, Missouri, Jenetta (David) Nelson of Missouri, Justin Stewart of Beatrice; grandson, Allen Evans; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; her sister, Carol (Paul) Frase of Beatrice, Nebraska; and two dogs, Sassy and Max.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leon Smith, Paul Smith; and her favorite dog, Oscar.
