Simandiras
Apr 9, 1934 — Nov 2, 2018
O'Neill
Memorial Services for Lois Hull Simandiras, age 84, of O'Neill, will be 11:00 am Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in O'Neill, NE. Burial will at 2 pm on Wednesday in the Inman Cemetery. Lois passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at her home near O'Neill. Biglin's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Lois Hull was born on April 9, 1934 to Loyal W.D. and Grace L. (Hancock) Hull in O'Neill on Grant Street across from the home she lived in until 2018. She grew up on a farm north of O'Neill and attended country schools. She graduated from O'Neill High School in 1951.
Lois lived and worked in Chicago until her marriage to Spiros Simandiras on June 7, 1992. The couple moved to Spiros' native Greece, in Kiaton near Corinth where they lived until Spiros' death in 1998. At that time, she moved back to O'Neill to care for her mother.
Lois had many interests which included traveling. She was able to make trips to Mexico, Puerto Rico, France, Italy, and Greece. Her love of travel was surpassed though by her love for Jehovah God. She symbolized her dedication to him at her baptism on April 17, 1976, which was the happiest day of her life. She continued serving him until her death by her active share in the ministry as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Lois had a firm faith in the Bible's promise of a cleansed earth, restored to Paradise where she and millions of others who have fallen asleep in death will be resurrected to enjoy life in perfection here on earth.
Lois is survived by one sister, Janet Booth of Lincoln; her two daughters, Sue Bus, Lori (Scott) Heaton, all of Lincoln; their five children; her sister-in-law, Yosuko (Donald) Hull of Tacoma, WA; and their three children, Jerry Ann Crabtree and Robert Hull of WA, David Hull of Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyal and Grace Hull; her husband, Spiros Simandiras; and two brothers, Galen K. and Donald R. Hull.
