"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." – 2 Timothy 4:7

Mandy Jo Heiser was born on March 18, 1976, Mandy was the firstborn daughter of Joe and Judy Micanek in Tilden, Nebraska.  She embraced her role as the oldest sister from the very beginning, becoming not only a protector but also a lifelong best friend to her sisters, Jenny and Gina. Together they shared countless adventures, endless laughter, inside jokes, and an unbreakable bond that will forever be cherished.

Mandy had an infectious laugh and a generous spirit.  She found genuine joy in making others feel loved.  Whether it was remembering every birthday with a thoughtful card or gift, planning the perfect surprise visit, or simply brightening someone's day with her crude, crass, and/or funny t-shirts or memes, Mandy had a special way of making everyone feel important.

Mandy was a wife to Casey, and together they built a life centered around their family.  While Mandy loved all of her family deeply, nothing brought her greater happiness than being a mom.  Shelby and Samantha were the pride and joy of her life, and she loved them with all her heart.  She was also incredibly proud to welcome her son-in-law, Kody Nolan, into the family.  She was also the kind of aunt every child dreams of having.  Mandy never forgot a birthday, always made sure a card or thoughtful gift arrived, and created memories her nieces and nephews will treasure forever.  Her love was shown in countless little ways that made those around her feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.

Mandy was dedicated to her work at the Niobrara Valley Hospital and the Lynch Grocery Store.  She graduated from Burwell High School in 1995 and attended Columbus Community College, graduating in 1997.

It was sometimes hard to pinpoint Mandy's favorite hobby but if she could surprise someone she loved, find the perfect gift at the quarter auctions, or spend an evening cheering on a lucky spin at a slot machine, her smile could light up the room.  Another highlight was spending time with family on the annual convertible cruise.  She lived life with generosity, a raspy giggle, and a heart that always put others first.

After a courageous battle marked by incredible strength, unwavering faith, and the constant love and prayers of family, friends, and even strangers, Mandy entered peacefully into the arms of her Savior on July 27, 2026.  Though her journey here on earth came to an end far sooner than any of us could have imagined, her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched.

Mandy is survived by her husband, Casey Heiser of Lynch, NE;  her daughters, Shelby (Kody) Nolan of  Lynch, NE and Samantha Heiser of Verdigre, NE; her parents, Joe and Judy Micanek of Lynch, NE; her sisters, Jenny (Steve) Pinkall of Seward, NE and Gina (Cole)  Gideon of Kearney, NE; her beloved nephews, Micah (Hotdog head) and Reid (Burrito head) Pinkall of Seward, NE: her favorite niece, Kree Gideon (Pumpkin head) of Kearney, NE; brothers-in-law Galen (Tammy) Heiser and family of Stuart, NE; Trent (Jennifer) Heiser and family of Lincoln, NE; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her.

Mandy was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law Vi and Gail Heiser; cousins, Lori, Bob, Gus, and Charles; grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in God's promise that Mandy is now completely healed, free from pain, and welcomed into her eternal home.  We will forever miss her laughter, her generous heart, and the way she made every person feel special.  Her love will continue to live on through the family she cherished, the memories she created, and the lives she touched.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers... will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 8:38–39
