Funeral Services for Margaret "Peggy Jeanne" Silbernagel Rowse, age 88 of Chambers, Nebraska will be 4:00 PM Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Rural Ewing, Nebraska. Burial will be 3:00 PM Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Dent, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill, Nebraska with a 7:30 pm Prayer Service. Memorials may be given to the Bethany Presbyterian Church or the Bethany Presbyterian Women. Peggy passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society in Atkinson, Nebraska. Biglin's Mortuary of O'Neill is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret Jeanne Gribble was born on November 30, 1929 in Chambers, Nebraska to Warren and Eileen (Shaw) Gribble. She grew up west of Chambers where she attended District School #95 before graduating from O'Neill High School in 1947.

Peggy Jeanne married George Smith in 1947 and to this union four children were born, Lyle, Bruce, Margie and Calvin. They later divorced. She married John Silbernagel in 1967, he passed away in 1999. She then married Wayne Rowse on March 3, 2001 in Dewey, Az.

After spending her early years living west of Chambers, she spent many years living in Dent, MN. There she owned and operated a meat locker in New York Mills, MN and farmed. Peggy Jeanne moved back to Chambers with her husband Wayne in 2004.

She was a member of the Women's VFW Auxiliary, Bethany Presbyterian Church and the Happy Homemakers Extension Club. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and spent several years as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.

Peggy Jeanne is survived by her husband of 17 years Wayne Rowse of Chambers, NE; children, Margie Williamson of Chambers, NE, and Calvin Smith of Mayer, AZ; step-children, Linda Nielsen and husband Alvin "Butch" of Lincoln, NE, Arlin Rowse and wife Wilna of Chambers, NE, David Rowse and wife Diane of Seward, NE, Brian Rowse of Chambers, NE, and Brenda McNair and husband Mike of Lincoln, NE; nine grandchildren, Sandy Womack, Bobby White, Lyle White and wife Debbie, Laura Folau, Cody Smith, John Williamson and wife Jessie, Kenny Smith, Tim Smith and wife Shannon, and Candice Smith; 14 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren, and seven step great grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Warren Gribble; her mom Eileen (Ken) Hunt; husband, John Silbernagel; two sons, Lyle Smith, and most recently Bruce Smith in 2018; and step great granddaughter, Stacie Rowse.
