Marjorie Mae Brewster was born on February 26, 1938 in Page, Nebraska to Marion and Grace (Fleming) Brewster.  At a young age her family moved to the Goose Lake area.  In her elementary years, she attended country school at District #73.  She later attended Page then Wheeler Central High School graduating with the class of 1955.  Marge attended State Normal School for Teachers in Wayne, Nebraska where she received her teaching certificate.  Marge taught for four years in country schools around the Swan Lake and Holt County area.  Her love of education influenced those she encountered, both her students and her children.

Marge married Archie Crabtree on October 3, 1958 in Wagner, SD while he was home on leave from the military.  They began their life together between Plainview and Brunswick on a small farm.  In 1967 they moved to the Goose Lake area where they continued farming before moving south of Chambers in 1980.  Marge and Archie have been dairy farmers throughout their married life.  Marge loved being outdoors and farm life, especially the sight of wobbly baby calves, the smell of fresh cut alfalfa, the sound of windmills, and the warm sun on her face.

To their union seven children were born.  Marge loved her family.  She was their biggest supporter, their encourager, and at times, their conscience.  She was their rock.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Marge also loved reading and listening to gospel music.  Marge was involved in several Bible study groups and an active member of the First Christian Church.
