Private Family Services for Mary Lou Clark, age 94, of O'Neill will be at a later date.  Mary passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Arbor Care Centers in O'Neill.  Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Lou Sholes was born February 12, 1930 to Ralph and Violet (Conard) Sholes in Ewing, Nebraska.  Mary attended school in Inman, NE, graduating from Inman High School in 1947.

Mary Lou married Richard Clark on November 6, 1948 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill.  Together, they welcomed ten children into their family: Mary Kathleen, Richard, Colleen, Patricia, Anthony, Leo, Alma, Caroline, Dianne, and Andrew.  After Richard's passing, Mary Lou married Donald Denker in 2002.

She enjoyed playing cards, reading, dancing, sewing, and telling jokes and was a member of the Holt County Historical Society.  Mary Lou will be remembered for her quick wit, good cooking, and her history knowledge.

Mary is survived by her nine children, Kate Kellum of O'Neill, Rick Clark of Kearney, Colleen (Clint Zastrow) Clark O'Neill, Pati Rogers of Lincoln, Leo Clark of O'Neill, Alma (Joe) McTygue of Kearney, Caroline Oberle of O'Neill, Dianne (Dan) Moos of Amherst, and Andy Clark of O'Neill; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; her brother, Ralph Sholes of O'Neill, her daughter-in-law; Colette Clark of O'Neill; several nieces and nephews, and special friend Bob Erwin.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Clark in 1984; son, Tony Clark in 1995; sisters, Sarah Sholes, and Ruthie Leonard, and special friend, Donald Denker.
