A Funeral Mass for Mary Jareske, age 90, of Atkinson, NE, will be at 10:30 A.M, Monday, September 11, 2017 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill, with burial in the O'Neill Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.

Mary passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017, at the Fullerton Care and Rehabilitation Center in Fullerton, NE.

Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Mary was born September 22, 1926 in Seymore, IA, to Lester (Shorty) and to Erma (Smith) Jones.  Later, they moved to Atkinson, NE.  Mary married Leo Jareske on August 28, 1950, and to this union, 3 daughters were born:  Deborah, Carol, and Jacqueline.  Mary and Leo lived in Wheeler County most their married life until the death of her husband in 1977.  She moved to Atkinson where she resided until she couldn't live on her own.

Mary was a great seamstress and liked to make quilts.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Altar Society, Kitchen Band and Wheeler County Extension Club.

Mary is survived by her daughters:  Deb Bittner and husband Frank, of Fullerton, NE, Carol Green of Ewing, NE, Jackie Elsbury and husband Mark of O'Neill, NE, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one sister, Maxine Hamilton of O'Neill, NE.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leo, her parents Lester and Erma Jones, one sister, Linda Lange, 2 brothers; Wayne and Terry Jones, one son-in-law, Dwaine Green, and one brother-in-law, Todd Hamilton.
