A Funeral Mass for Mary Clare Louise Walton age 61 of O'Neill will be 10:30 AM Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing, NE. Reverend John Norman will officiate.  Inurnment will follow in the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 – 7 PM at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill, NE with a Parish Rosary at 7 PM.  Mary passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill.  Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.  Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of arrangements.

Mary is lovingly remembered by her brother James VanConet of O'Neill, NE; children and grandchildren; Marsha Walton of Neligh, NE, Brian Walton and wife Danielle and their children Kayden and Isabelle of Yankton, SD, Rachel Walton of Rapid City, SD, James Walton of Rapid City, SD and Christine Walton and her daughter JazLynn of Rapid City, SD.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenny, parents, Martin and Rachel (Burk) VanConet, older brother, George VanConet and many other relatives.

Mary was born on May 31, 1957 in O'Neill, NE to Martin and Rachel (Burk) VanConet.  She graduated from Ewing High School in 1976 and then went on to earn her cosmetology license from the Stewart School of Hairstyling in 1977.  Mary worked as a Beautician for 23 years, as a waitress for 10 years, and as a school lunch lady for the O'Neill Public Schools until her passing.

She enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, DIY crafts, small talk with relatives and friends and helping others (especially with haircuts).  Mary loved visiting her children and playing with her grandchildren.  She will be missed by all that knew her and loved her.
