Michael Earl Miller was born June 2, 1945 to Orville and Ardyce (Worth) Miller in Spencer, Nebraska.  He grew up on a farm near Midway and attended Country School through the Eighth Grade.  Mike then went to O'Neill High School and was on the football team and wrestled on the very first wrestling team in O'Neill.  He graduated with the class of 1963.  Mike enlisted into the United States Navy just out of high school in May of 1963 and served in San Diego as a Radioman.  He was later Honorably Discharged in May of 1966 and returned to O'Neill. He then worked for Hinkle's & McCoy in 1984 plowing in fiber.  In 1993, he moved back to O'Neill, to recover from several back surgeries.

Mike was a storyteller.  He enjoyed playing pool, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He liked to hunt, fish, boating, camping; mainly the annual family camping trip.

Mike is survived by his wife Clara Miller of Crofton; his four children, Scott (Tonya) Miller of Hershey, Mark (Laura) Miller of Bloomfield, Susan Miller of Omaha, Michael (Candace) Miller of Riverton, WY; 16 grandchildren, Trevor (Jimi) Miller, Josie Miller, Dominic (Markie) Miller, Lucas Miller, Whitney (Tim) Troutman, Jack Miller, Cole Miller, Margo Miller, Leo Miller, Clare Miller-Petznick, Page Miller-Petznick, Slone Miller-Petznick, Cate Miller-Petznick, Kagan Smith, Emma Miller, Lilly Miller; four great grandchildren, Briggs and Briar Miller, Spencer and Sutton Miller; ex son in-law, Tom Petznick; ex daughter in-law Jamie Miller; a brother in-law; his dogs, Mia, Puddin, Lucy, Charlie; his cats, Kow and Jewels; several nieces and nephews.
