Pamela Sue Young was born to Sam and Leona (Madsen) Young on April 28, 1961 at St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill, NE. She weighed only 3 lbs. 4 oz. She was brought home from the hospital in doll clothes. Pam was raised on a ranch northwest of Chambers; with Angus Cattle, pasture land and prairie hay.
She attended Chambers Schools and graduated in 1979. She went on to work in Kearney, but in December she was offered a scholarship to play softball in Iowa. While in college she also played volleyball and was awarded a trophy for Most Valuable Player her first year.
After graduating from college, she moved to Everett Washington, but moved back to Nebraska when her Mom got sick. She lived in O'Neill from 1987-2003 where she worked as a Medical Coordinator for North Star Services. She later moved to the ranch to help her Mother and deal with her own health problems.
Pam loved the ranch and ranching with her brother Sammy. This gave her the opportunity to make many young friends that she cared about so much. Her Nieces and Nephews were her pride and joy and she loved them all very much. She also enjoyed attending Coyote and Renegade sporting activities. She was Booster of the Year for the 2008-2009 school year.
Pam is survived by her Father, Sam Young of Chambers, NE; Brothers, Tom Young and wife Deb of O'Neill, Sammy Young and wife Jodie of Chambers; Nieces and Nephews; Scott Young, Shane Young, James Young, Jenny Young, Drew Young, Brandi Flynn and Lance Schluns.
She was preceded in death by her Son, Joshua Lee; Mother, Leona Young; Grandparents, Ernest and Effie Young and Chris and Inger Madsen.
