Funeral Services for Pearl Lihs age 85 of O'Neill, will be at 5:00 PM Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.  Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Biglin's Mortuary.  Inurnment will be 2:00 PM Friday at the Rosedale Cemetery in Bristow, NE.  Pearl passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at O'Neill Care and Rehab in O'Neill.  Memorials can be directed to the family for future designation.  Biglin's Mortuary will be in charge of arrangements.

Pearl Ann Calkins was born on August 2, 1932, in Oakland California to Harold and Violet (Glancy) Calkins.  She attended school in California.

Pearl married Duane Lihs on June 3, 1951 in Concord, California.  She dedicated her life to her husband and their three children.  The family enjoyed spending time together at the family cream station in Bristow, Nebraska where they resided.  They later moved to O'Neill.

Pearl and Duane enjoyed having their morning coffee with friends and taking drives through the country-side.  Pearl also enjoyed gardening, camping, sewing, and scrap booking.  Pearl's greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and watching it grow over time.

Pearl is survived by her children, Diane Freenock and husband, Fred, of Inman, and Deb Hansen of O'Neill, Randy Lihs and wife, Mary Ann, of O'Neill; 17 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and one great- great grandchild; brother-in-law, Verlan Ohse of Pawnee, OK; sister-in-law Evelyn Calkins of Pawnee, OK; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Marian Hayes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Duane Lihs; son-in-law, Anthony Hansen; brother, John Calkins; two sisters, Kay Ohse and Helen (Jack) Day.

Pearl is survived by her children, Randy Lihs and wife, Mary Ann, of O'Neill, Diane Freenock and husband, Fred, of Inman, and Deb Hansen of O'Neill; 17 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and one great- great grandchild; brother-in-law, Verlan Ohse of Pawnee, OK; sister-in-law Evelyn Calkins of Pawnee, OK; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Marian Hayes.
