A Mass of Christian Burial for Raymond H. Sobotka, age 83, of Inman will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill with burial in the O'Neill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a 7 p.m. Rosary.  Raymond passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at the Neligh Care and Rehabilitation Center in Neligh.  Please visit biglinsmortuary.com for more information.

Raymond was born near Inman on January 6, 1933 to Lewis and Anna (Meyer) Sobotka. He grew up south of Inman and attended District School #111 for Grade School, and then attended Inman High School before graduating in 1950. Raymond spent his entire life farming and ranching on the home place south of Inman where he enjoyed working on his equipment, spending time with his dogs and visiting with anyone who stopped by. He enjoyed going to family gatherings and, in his younger years, square dancing. He was a life time member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Raymond is survived by his two brothers, Richard Sobotka and wife, Kathleen, of Inman, David Sobotka and wife, Vera, of Prescott, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Twila Sobotka and Alice Sobotka, both of Inman, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Clifford, Eugene, Marvin and his wife Ruth.
