Rebecca Lyn (Ickes) Hausmann was born December 29, 1980 in O'Neill, Nebraska to Bob & Shari (Heiss) Ickes.
Rebecca was raised on the family farm in Page, Nebraska and attended grade school in that town. She graduated high school as valedictorian and as a respected athlete in Orchard and subsequently received a degree in business from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2003.
Rebecca was united in marriage to Joey Hausmann on March 3, 2001 at the United Methodist Church in Page, Nebraska. Rebecca and Joey have 5 amazing children who reflect the values instilled by the couple's loving household and Rebecca's unwavering focus on faith, support and strength. Ashton, Cooper, Alivia, Kiffin and Beckett are true treasures sewn from her amazing life.
Family was first for Rebecca at all times. She loved and excelled at being a mother and wife. She spent countless hours enjoying her children's numerous sporting events and activities of all kinds. Known for her competitive spirit in all facets of life, her children have benefitted from and reflect Rebecca's ability to help others reach their potential. Always one of the most vocal of the supportive fans, she selflessly volunteered at school and church with an aim at stewarding her family along the faith path so central to her life.
Rebecca's free time always involved her children. Trips to the zoo, museums, picnics, vacations, and stargazing with her kids filled her life and gave her great joy. She was thrilled to take her children on trips to her family's farm in Page so they could experience where her values were carved. Rebecca simply wanted to share her life to the fullest extent possible with the one's she loved most.
Rebecca's passion to provide for her loved ones will endure far beyond her valued time on this earth. Her impeccable taste and tireless efforts to create the perfect family home are only tangible examples of her efforts. Opting for dessert before dinner and fine wine and cheese are traits those closest to her will fondly remember.
The effect she has had on all of our hearts will continue to influence us all to be better images of the life she led.
