Funeral Services for Robert Beed, age 82, of Chambers, NE, will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill. Burial will be in the Chambers Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2016, from 5-7 P.M., with a 6:45 P.M. Prayer Service at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill. Robert passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016, at his home in Chambers.

Robert was born on September 17, 1933, in Emmet, NE, to Raymond and Aireen (Russell) Beed.   He graduated from Chambers High School in 1951, and worked on the family farm as a ranch hand.  Robert "Bob" married Beryl Werner and to this union, 5 children were born.  He later married Lila Bulgrin at the United Methodist Church in York, NE, on October 12, 1975.

Bob enjoyed building model airplanes.  He also liked football, fishing and attending rodeos.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lila, 4 children:  Allan Beed of 29 Palms, CA, Russell Beed of Chambers, NE, Kitty Hudiburg of Michigan and Pat Beed of Lincoln, NE, 2 grandchildren, one son-in-law, Mark Hobbs of Ewing, NE, 3 sisters; Cleone Lubkin and husband Norman of Chambers, NE, Joanne Kaup and husband Dennis of Atkinson, NE, Judy Swanson of Hartington, NE, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Sam Hobbs, one daughter, Peggy Hobbs, and 2 brothers-in-law; Dennis Kaup and Larry Swanson.
