Graveside Services for Robert  E. Gallagher, age 76 of Omaha, Nebraska will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the O'Neill Cemetery in O'Neill. Deacon Roger Filips will officiate.  Robert passed away on Thursday April 3, 2025 in Omaha, NE. Biglins Mortuary of O'Neill is in charge of arrangements.

Robert E. Gallagher, 76 of Omaha, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on April 3rd, 2025.  He was born to Mildred and John R. Gallagher on February 12, 1949 in Omaha.  Robert lived in O'Neill with his 7 siblings, attending St. Mary's High School.  He furthered his education at Creighton University in Omaha.  Robert and his wife, Pamela, raised their 5 children in Omaha.

Robert is survived by his children Liam, Conor (Martina and daughter Nilde), Nolan, Keenan (Hillary) and Caitlin.  Siblings surviving Robert include Kathy Donohoe, Eugenia Gallagher, Richard (Karen) Gallagher, Colleen (David) Mills, and Thomas Gallagher.  Robert has many nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends who will smile with a memory of Bob.  Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Pam, and brothers Michael and John.

He will be forever remembered for his love of his Irish heritage and his Irish wit; he was a kind and generous man.  His relatives often recall a Ponca camping trip orchestrated by Bob and Pam, all campers had Bob-chosen names, including Lodgepole Pine, Prairie Fungus, Lingonberry, Bilge Moose, Cheese Puff, Screech Owl, Whippet and Madonna.  Thanks for the memories, "Thrusting Hawk".
