Funeral Services for Ronald Haake, age 88 of Chambers, NE will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chambers.  Burial will follow in the Chambers Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour before the service.  Ron passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill, NE. Biglins Mortuary of O'Neill is in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Eugene Haake was the third of five children born to Walter and Verda (Schipman) Haake on May 5, 1936.  He attended rural school thru the eighth grade and graduated from Chambers High School in 1954.

He was united in marriage to Marlene Ermer in Oct. 1957.  To this union 3 daughters were born, LaDonna, Jolene, and Sue.

Ron was always a farmer and rancher at heart.  His dream came true when a family friend asked him to rent their farm.  This became his home for the next 61 years.

Ron is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marlene of Chambers; 3 daughters, LaDonna Haake-Johnson of Sioux Falls, SD, Jolene (Mike) Freeman of Ainsworth, NE and Tarilyn Sue (Roy) Kloppenborg of Chambers; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Hagemier of Nokomis, IL; one brother, Larry (LaDonna) Haake of Thedford, NE; sisters in law, Doris Haake of Wentzville, MO and Kathy Ermer of O'Neill, NE; brother in law, Eugene Ermer of Battle Creek, MI; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Verda (Schipman) Haake; sister, Lorraine Haake; brother, Donald Haake; and son in law, Mark Johnson.
