Celebration of Life Services for Terry Bartak, age 65 of Page, NE will be 1:00 pm Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the Page United Methodist Church in Page, NE. Inurnment will follow in the Page Cemetery. Following the services, please join the family for fellowship and refreshments back at the church. Terry passed away on Sunday July 16, 2023 at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill, NE after a valiant fight with cancer. Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary of O'Neill.

Terry Owen Bartak was born on January 10, 1958 to James L. Bartak and Ruby Jane (Parks) Mardi in Omaha, NE, where he grew up. As a young man, he learned the glass trade and worked for his brother Tom's glass shop in Center, NE.

At the turn of the century, Terry moved to Page, NE where his mother's family of Park and Parks originated. He loved the Lord and practiced the Golden Rule. He loved his home, his family of cats, and the village. He served on the Village Board for several terms. His work involved agriculture and trucking and his repair shop for glass and small engines. Terry was always interested in engineering and inventing. Terry did hold a patent on one of his inventions.

Terry was an accomplished guitarist and was involved with several bands over the years. He had many friends in the music community. His greatest pleasure was drag racing in his Ford Falcon at Thunder Valley, SD and other Midwestern tracks. He always enjoyed the people and friends he made in racing.

Terry is survived by his mother, Jane Mardi of Page, NE; siblings, Cindy Bartak of Tavares, FL, Tom (Cindy) Bartak of Santee, NE, Mark (Jeanette) Bartak of O'Neill, NE; nephew, Kevin (Becky) Bartak and their children, Ethan, Brooklyn, and Addison all of Omaha, NE; niece, Christina (Phil) Risinger and their child, Remington all of O'Neill, NE; and a special friend, Dawn Hircock of Decatur, NE.

Terry is preceded by his father, James Bartak; brothers, Tim Bartak and Brad Bartak; infant brother, Joseph Emil Bartak; and stepfather, William Mardi.
