Funeral Services for Verna Pruss, age 87, of Inman, NE will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Inman Community Church, Inman, NE. Elder Russ Rowlett and Priest Brian Van Meter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Inman Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.  Verna passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at her home.  Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Verna was born January 13, 1932 to Henry and Claire (Crandall) Pruss in Emmet, Nebraska.  She graduated from O'Neill High School.  Verna worked at the Holt County Social Service office for over 45 years.  She retired in 1997.

Verna enjoyed reading and gardening.  She was a very talented artist and painter.  She would use her creative touches to furnish beautiful bouquets of flowers for the church.  She was an active member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Verna is survived by her sister, Carol Keyes of Inman, NE; nieces and nephews, Patrick Cook and wife Diana of Grand Island, NE, John Cook of Grand Island, NE, Bernard Cook and wife Jeannie of St. Paul, NE, Mary Wentzlaff and husband Brad of Grand Island, NE, June Marie Prokesh and husband David of Grand Island, NE, Joyce Waterman and husband Robert of Emmet, NE, Scott Keyes and wife Shirley of Inman, NE, Kevin Keyes and wife Jalayne of Pilger, NE, and Dayle Keyes and wife Rhonda of Omaha, NE.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Henry and Claire Pruss; and two sisters.
