Funeral Services for Wilma Burrell, age 83, of Page, NE will be 10:30 am Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Methodist Church in Page, NE with burial in the Page Cemetery.  Rev. A.G Turner will be officiating.   Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday, September 27 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill, NE.   Wilma passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill, NE.   Memorials can be made to the family for future designations.  Biglin's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Wilma Irene Weber was born October 18, 1934 to Edward and Ita (Doyle) Weber.  She attended St. Boniface elementary school in Stuart, NE and then attended Stuart High School.  She then went on to work at her parent's fox farm in Stuart.

She married Roger Earl Johnson and to this union four children were born, Sharon, Linda, Steve and Jolene.  Roger died in a car accident in January of 1961.

Wilma supported her family by working as a Librarian at the Stuart Library for many years, as well as the activity director and in the dietary department for the Parkside Manor Nursing Home in Stuart.

On November 28, 1987 Wilma married Virgil Burrell.   They made their home on a farm east of Page, NE where she devoted much of her time working with Virgil on the farm.  In 1999, Virgil and Wilma retired and built a house in Page, NE.  After retirement, they spent time traveling and going on fishing trips together.

Wilma was a member of the Page United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Christian Mothers, Stuart Extension Club, and Page Church Rugger's Group.  Wilma cherished her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, quilting, playing cards, doing puzzles, and baking. She was known for her favorite apple and butterscotch pie.

Wilma is survived by her husband, Virgil Burrell of Page, NE, her children; Sharon Homes and husband, Tom, of Scribner, NE, Linda Anson and husband Rod of Atkinson, NE, Steve Johnson of Muscadine, AL, Jolene Emme of O'Neill, NE; Seven grandchildren, Becky (Matt) Krysl, Stacy Anson, Doug Homes, Mike Homes, Jenny Wolfgram, Chris Thurlow, and Heidi (Jess) Wedige; 13 great grandchildren; sister. Loretta Gill of Stuart, NE; sister -in- laws, Joyce Weber of Rapid City, SD, Edith Weber of Hastings, NE; brother, Dennis (Millie) Weber of Stuart, NE; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; Ed and Ita Weber; her first husband, Roger Johnson; sister, Bernice Friedel; brothers, Jerry Weber, Robert Weber; infant sister, Catherine Weber; and nephew, Robert Weber Jr.
